Autonomous Water Purification System

UGent IO is assisting in the development of an autonomous water purification system. The project is led by PaInT (Particle and Interfacial Technology Group) in cooperation with TEI (Thermal Energy in Industry)
Field-tests with the prototype will initiate in February 2016 in Johannesburg. The performance is measured from a distance using GPS/GPRS.

The device uses solar radiation to evaporate certain liquids to gasses. This increases pressure, which is used to push water through a purification filter. There are special needs for the filter, which are fullfilled by our prototype.

The real time sensorial data, including PLC voltage and temperature, with the remote login, the data is published in .cvs for easy processing.
